Truthfully I did lose track of you. The name change caused me to not remember the site. The "Films at Home" name is a great brand....people can identify with it, as we are watching at home. I agree the name "Jeff Rauseo's Films at Home" is quite good. I appreciate your views on films....

I am glad to see you are "back". It just seemed more "Commercial". It lost its special flavor. Like you, I'm a passionate collector. My collection is slightly smaller at about 2/3 yours. But that is still bigger than the vast majority of people. BTW... Did you see the announcement that GameStop is so desperate to drive foot traffic to their stores that they are going to try their hand at physical media sales? 😂 GameStop is so hosed at this point. I don't know if anything can save them. Anyway glad to hear that you you will be more oriented to what brought us together in the first place. Thank you Jeff.

What makes "Films at Home" special/unique is you were the go to guy when finding out what Physical Media is worth buying/upgrading! 50% of subs were saying that months ago. Glad you got the break you deserved, and looking forward to more recs!

Hey Jeff, as others have said - you didn't mess up or screw up... you tried something different, and realised it wasn't for you. No apology needed. We've all been there, and it's the only way you can learn and grow as a creator - even moreso than stepping back and re-assessing... You don't know until you try. Audiences can be fickle... they'll demand you do something a bit different, and then don't turn up for you when you do. It also often takes one video a viewer isn't interest in to make them unsubscribe. You can't control that, so don't let it eat you up, and don't apologise for it. The RUclips algorithm is just as fickle... it somehow *knows* when you're doing something different and doesn't push it out. It's a frustrating platform to be on. You've done the right thing -- you've reassessed, found what you and your audience love, and stuck to it. Walt Disney's business model was built on "putting your own name on the door." I say keep 'Jeff Rauseo' as your channel name... if you ever wanted to switch back to 'Films at Home', perhaps consider 'Jeff Rauseo's Films at Home'... Anyway -- all the best mate, will continue to watch and support no matter what you decide to do.

I stuck with you Jeff. I did wonder what was going on a few times because honesty I looked forward to your regular thoughts on 4k Titles, packaging, picture quality AND your thoughts on the films. You really inspired me and made me consider starting a channel. I just need equipment. I dont have other forms of social media so some of the other ventures didn't interest me at all. If your podcast is on here I will definitely tune in.

Hi Jeff, I’ve been also distracted and haven’t been watching, my bad. I related to your issue with Instagram. A singer I’m following and trying to get reactions for. The full length song is on RUclips and has just over 1/4M views, nice right? Well the short promoting the song and linking to it on Instagram has almost 4M views! How why? Huh? So, I get your issue. As for my physical media update. Mine is for a vinyl LP I recently added to my collection. I finally bought a copy of Offering by Carpenters out of South Africa! It’s a rare first album and it’s a SA pressing, too. So I’m jazzed. I’m framing it, it’s in good condition. It was less than half the cost I’ve been bracing for. Usually they’re $300, this was $125 delivered. So, double score. I entered for the giveaway and I hope you get back your viewers. It’s always fun to see new stuff. Be well! Joe

If there was only one thing that stood out about the physical niche, it would be that we all appreciate quality over quantity more than any other. We’ll all still be here even if there’s a dry month in the physical media world. Don’t stress about it, Jeff.

Hey man! I understand that feeling of burnout. I liked seeing you try new things and it’s cool to see you circle around. Moving forward, possibly consider a seasonal structure on RUclips that some guys here have used to keep their mental health and enthusiasm in a great place. X amount of videos per “season” with an announced break for 3 weeks and a vanity video in between (if you feel like it.) Might help keep it fresh for you! Regardless, I’ll always be here for the ride. 👊🏻🎥

If nothing else, mix it up to keep it interesting. You don't want to end up back in the same spot in 2 years. But I am happy to see some of the old content returning.

I imagine the allure of that short form content is more than lucrative. I don't blame you for trying to get in on that action - no need to apologize. However, that type of content is always at the expense of quality. RUclips, TicToc, IG...whoever...doesn't care about the quality of your content. They just care that it makes money. Good for you for realizing where your true strength lies.

I think rebranding as your own name is fine. I really enjoy your channel as I'm the only person amongst my friends group or family that cares at all about physical media, especially 4k movies. I think it's smart to adopt the mentality of not rushing into content.

Dude keep the name films at home. You could do a second channel with your name with just lives because supposedly live feeds will screw up your algorithm anyway. Or you could have a second channel for just vlogs or just interviews. The name of your channel is so iconic. People want to use their name but I feel that's more for influencers or people that have really big channels. A million plus. And I still don't like it.

I'm glad that you decided to go back to reviewing 4K and BluRay discs because there are already far too many movie review channels on RUclips. I'm sure this realization probably played a part in your decision to reverse course. Your reviews on 4K discs have helped me to make purchase decisions in the past.
